Education Training and Development Manager – Salon Industry (Maria Nila)
Position Overview:
Maria Nila, a leading Certified B Corporation and a provider of vegan and cruelty-free professional hair care, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Education Training and Development Manager to lead our educational initiatives across North America. This role is pivotal in shaping and driving the educational strategies and programs that support Maria Nila's growth, align with sales and marketing objectives, and inspire stylists across the region.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage the education department budget, ensuring cost-effective use of resources while achieving educational goals.
- Track expenses and analyze ROI of education and training programs.
- Assess the performance and effectiveness of the educational team, identifying areas for growth and improvement.
- Implement 'train-the-trainer' programs to standardize and elevate training quality across regions.
- Provide ongoing coaching, feedback, and support to build a high-performing education team throughout North America.
- Develop comprehensive educational materials, training guides, and digital resources tailored to the salon industry, reflecting Maria Nila’s brand ethos, sustainability focus, and product offerings.
- Ensure all curriculum aligns with Maria Nila’s mission to deliver premium, sustainable, and innovative solutions to stylists.
- Plan, lead, and drive educational events, trade shows, and workshops to showcase Maria Nila and engage stylists.
- Serve as a brand ambassador at industry events, delivering impactful presentations and demonstrations.
- Partner with Maria Nila’s sales and marketing teams to align educational strategies with business goals and product launches.
- Work closely with the product development team to ensure education aligns with Maria Nila’s latest innovations and launches.
- Lead the recruitment and onboarding process for educators, ensuring the team reflects Maria Nila’s values and expertise.
- Build and maintain a pipeline of talented professionals to support the brand’s educational needs.
- Identify emerging trends and opportunities within the salon industry to keep Maria Nila’s education program innovative and competitive.
- Drive engagement and loyalty among stylists by delivering exceptional training experiences.
- Proven experience in education, training, and development within the salon or beauty industry.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and develop others.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with experience in public speaking at events and workshops.
- Demonstrated ability to manage budgets and analyze program performance.
- Passion for sustainability and aligning with Maria Nila’s Certified B Corp mission to balance profit and purpose while creating a positive impact.
- Knowledge of CRM systems, Salesforce, or similar tools.
- Experience developing digital and virtual training programs.
- Creative problem-solving and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
